Wildlife Gardens for Central Scotland

Over many years, our natural landscapes have seen a gradual decline due to the steady creep of urbanisation.

The once varied and biodiverse habitats have been replaced and fragmented by a sea of concrete. Unfortunately, this has had a drastic effect on our native wildlife.

There has been a growing understanding of the importance of preserving and promoting our native animal and plant wildlife. It is hard to imagine a garden without birds singing, bees popping from flower to flower, and butterflies drinking deep in a flower's nectar.

Sadly, these are now things that some never experience.

Making a difference:

We can all make a difference in our own gardens and spaces, however large or small, (even a hanging basket!). Through careful planting we can knit back together our fragmented habitats providing vital "pit-stops" or havens for wildlife.

At Bracken Lane we combine the expertise of a fully qualified ecologist and a renowned Scottish designer to create exquisite gardens which should attract and promote a wide range of wildlife.
