Michéal Quinlan (BSc, MSc)

The founder of Bracken Lane, Michéal gained a degree in Natural Science from Trinity College Dublin and then went on to complete a Masters in Environmental Resource Management. From here, he worked as an ecologist for several years, specialising in habitat surveys across the UK.

Michéal first became involved in garden design when making a career change and becoming involved with Red Oxide Garden Design.  He is currently completing a Level 2 Certificate in Horticulture at the Botanic gardens in Edinburgh. 

Sam Walker (Red Oxide)

We are extremely lucky to have a well known garden designer take an interest in our company. Sam's own company Red Oxide has a large portfolio of stunning gardens, and he has been creating gardens for over 10 years.

His work has appeared in Homes and Interiors Magazine, Scotland on Sunday and Elle Deco. Red Oxide has also been awarded Silver medals at Gardening Scotland.

As a colleague, Sam was extremely interested in helping with an ecologically friendly wildlife garden service. Although our gardens will differ greatly in the use of materials, Sam's design expertise will still result in a stunning garden, without a large carbon footprint.
